Tamás Peragovics is PhD candidate at the Department of International Relations of Central European University, junior research fellow at the Institute of World Economics, Centre for Economic and Regional Studies, and assistant lecturer at the International Relations and European Studies Department of ELTE University. Tamás’ research revolves around theories of diplomacy, diplomatic history and critical historical revisionism, with an empirical focus on China. His dissertation offers a novel interpretation of the 1970s normalization between the PRC and the US, specifically as a theoretical dilemma of diplomatic dialogue between two erstwhile enemies. Tamás is also a keen observer of contemporary Chinese foreign policy and international relations, particularly in the Central and Eastern European region.
