Ágnes Szunomár is a research fellow at the Institute of World Economics, Centre for Economic and Regional Studies of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, where she is the head of Research Group on Development Economics. Her research focuses on China's foreign economic relations including the relation between China and Central and Eastern Europe. She also made research on foreign trade and foreign direct investment issues and related policies in the Central-East European countries, with special attention to developments in Hungary. She holds a PhD in Economics from the Corvinus University of Budapest.
