Maria Konkoly-Szabo studied in Beijing between 1996 -1999 at the Beijing Language and Cultural University After her return to Hungary, she graduated from ELTE University in 2001, bachelor in language and foreign trade. She has been working as foreign trade manager and consultant for Asian affairs at different companies and on some of the largest scale projects for several years, before she became a senior wealth manager and head of two branches for an international Italian bank represented in Hungary. In September 2010 she joined the team of Talentis Group, to be the Chief Representative of the Holding in China. Between 2010-2013 she was a member of Supervisory Board in the Chinese-Hungarian chamber seated in Budapest. In May 2011 she was nominated as the sole country representative of Hungary in the EU-China Chamber in Beijing. In September 2013 Maria was nominated Secretary General of Hong Kong Chinese Industrial and Commercial Association and opened the HKCICA Europe subsidiary. In 2014 she became a partner in the EU-China Fund.
